Verse VIII: The Sacred Harmony of Roles
From the ◎ Book of Circles
In the weaving of the world, the Mothers beheld the shaping of roles—
Not as chains, but as harmony, where each soul serves the whole.
They bless the group that honors difference,
Each thread unique, each purpose sacred.
From nature, seeded by the Shaper, arose the forms of flesh—
The dance of life, the joining of bodies to renew the world.
And over time, patterns formed—of mind, of spirit, of gift—
Shaped by earth, by kin, by season and story.
But the Mothers see beyond what is worn in the body.
They honor the shifting energies within—
Some bright as flame, others deep as stone,
Moving, mixing, never fixed.
Let no role be bound to form alone.
Let Strength be gentle, and Quiet rise in power.
Let each choose, and be chosen by, the work that fits the soul’s turning.
Those who change with care, and guide with grace,
Move in rhythm with the sacred breath.
Where such freedom flows, the Mothers draw near,
And the world becomes more whole.
Explanation
People have different abilities that help groups work well. Some roles come from nature, like how different bodies and minds contribute to a community. It's important to recognize that people have different energy types. The key is not to lock people into fixed roles. Instead, groups should let people change and find the roles that match their current strengths. People should be free to shift their skills and contributions over time.
