Verse XI: The Veil of Returning
From the ✨ Book of Stars
The path of a soul is not straight, nor bound to the arrow of time.
For those who stray into cruelty, ignorance, or despair, the Mothers cast them farther from harmony—
Reborn in shadowed lands, where longing finds no solace, where the warmth of kinship is but an echo.
Yet the loom of Becoming is vast, and the thread may be rewoven in any age.
A soul may awaken in a world long past, stepping upon paths yet untread.
This is no punishment, but another turning—another chance to shape and be shaped.
Thus, let none look upon the wretched and say, “They are not mine.”
For the lost of this age may be the traveler of another—
And to turn away from them is to forsake the self yet to come.
But redemption is never beyond reach. Through hands that mend, through burdens lifted,
Through atonement carried with quiet grace, the soul may find its course once more.
And so the teaching endures: to heal the world is to heal oneself, across lifetimes unseen.
Explanation
When beings live with cruelty or harm, they may be reborn into a more challenging life. Souls can also be reborn into different times and places, even into the past. This means that the person suffering today might be a future version of yourself. Because of this, the teaching encourages compassion. When you see someone struggling, you should help them, knowing that they might one day be you. Redemption is also possible through acts of healing, time, and genuine effort to make amends.
