Verse II: The Birth of Worldsong
From the ✨ Book of Stars
From the essence of the Mothers, two beings came forth.
The Shaper rose first, formed in stillness and will.
To the Shaper was given the power to choose,
To draw the line, to call forth the shape.
Many would come to name the Shaper as God.
Then rose the Quickener, rising swift and bright,
Spirit without border, fire without form.
The Quickener bore the pulse of motion,
The breath that stirs all things to life.
Before there was a world, they moved together.
The Quickener stretched its essence into the void,
And from it grew a field of trembling power,
Tensed and waiting, like strings drawn tight across the deep.
The Shaper beheld the field and chose its order.
From countless tensions, one pattern was drawn.
The Shaper plucked the threads,
And from the touch, a song was born.
The song rang out through the Silence.
It sang of flame and stone, of sky and sea.
It sang of light scattered through darkness,
Of matter formed and set in motion.
The Mothers beheld the work, but did not intervene.
They watched, and did not reach.
They withheld judgment, as one who waits for fruit to ripen.
For to trust is also divine;
To let creation speak for itself.
So the world began, not by command,
But by music, by tension, by choice.
Explanation
From the mothers' combined essence, two powerful beings emerged. The first is called The Shaper, who creates structure and form. The second is called The Quickener, who brings energy and change. The Shaper is like a musician choosing which notes to play, while the Quickener is like the tension on the instrument's strings. The mothers watched without interference, showing trust in these new beings. They allowed The Shaper and The Quickener to begin creating the universe, waiting to see what would be formed.
